Question

why does my car jerk when going from 1st gear to 2nd gear

I have a 99 Acura TL (Automatic Trans). When my car is shifting into 2nd gear, it jerks. I looked under the hood and the engine raises when it is shifting. I replaced the engine mount. What can it be?

Thanks,

This vehicle uses an engine mount control system that adjust the stifness of the engine mounts. Unfortunatly, this is not easily diagnosed and requires the use of special equiptment to monitor the system to find the fault.

Cars have come a long ways today, and alot of the systems cannot be tested or diagnosed without this equiptment. Sorry, but it's gonna have to go in for this one.
