I have a 1990 Acura Legend. When put on a diagnostic machine it reads no codes.
My car has a very high idle in park and in other gears as well. In park it sometimes goes as high as 2000, 1500, 1000 and sometimes its normal. In drive at a red light it idles at 1500 0r 1000 or normal. The tac gauge constantly goes up and down. Driving at 55 or60 the car sometimes begins to feel like its either missing or the car is getting more gas without going faster. The car always smells rich of gas fumes. I was told it could possible be the idle control sensor or the throttle control sensor. Is this possible. I am a single mother of 3 and cannot afford to take this car to a dealership. The repair shop that I took it to said they didn't know what the problem was and the machine picked up no codes and not to bring it back to them. Please help.
Thank You,
Awaiting reply,
Judy
