Sent to Car Experts February 16 2:56 a.m.

I have a 91 Acura Integra, which; after a short trip will not indicate that it is in Park (Automatic Trans) and will not allow the key to be removed. Essentially it indicates that it is in D3 (third gear), and cycling the key or fiddling with the shifter, using the manual release sometimes will clear the problem. Otherwise I have to wait anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes before it will indicate both Park and D3 at which point I can pull the key. This doesn''t apply if the car has been driven more than 20 miles and is thoroughly warmed up.

Optional Information:
1991 Integra RS 1.8l

Already Tried:
Cleaned contacts on Shift indicator switch. It appears t be in the correct position, so I have not adjusted it, yet.
